Please join us for our first concert to kick off BAAA’s 2024-2025 season, Opus 5!
Opus 5 will feature the music of Haydn, Schubert, Wagner, Liszt, Vance Maverick, Schnittke, Janáček and others! Returning Opus favorite artists include Megan Cullen and Marielle Leiboff, and a new composition by Vance Maverick. Also returning from the BAAA roster (At the Hawk’s Well, 2024) is phenomenal violinist Matthew Vousé. Newcomers include the wonderful Zofia Sabee on cello, celebrated pianist Amy Zanrosso, German-American soprano Natalie Erskine, and a special treat from Hungarian speaker Diana Pray.

This concert features local Bay Area composer Vance Maverick and Schoenberg’s monumental Op. 2 songs with our special guest, Allegra Chapman!
Vance will be in attendance and you will be treated to the immense talent of local contemporary music powerhouse, pianist Allegra Chapman. We also have wonderful selections from well-known AND lesser-known composers, such as Schubert, Alburger, Gabriella Smith, and Rimsky-Korsakov. Come and be delighted by our wonderful musicians – we have vocal music, instrumental solos and chamber music – there really is something for everyone!
This concert is child-friendly and will be more interactive than your typical concert experience – come to learn about and enjoy this wonderful music.
Our 2023 Holiday Auction is live online and most of the items will be at the concert.
